Choosing Fun Colors for your Child’s Play Space
Category: Child's Furniture
If you are the parent of small children you might have a playroom or special area they use for toys. An area such as this can be made more appealing to a child by incorporating bright colors in the design. This is also true for a bedroom used by younger children. The bold and vivid colors appeal to their playful nature and help stimulate their sense of creativity. You could choose a colorful plastic table and chair set to place in their toy area as well as a lime green rug.
The lime colored rug could also be used in a boy’s bedroom that has other shades of blue and green in the design. The green rugs can be found in the circular style to use for creating a smaller area such as that for a chair set in a playroom. You will also see several styles of colorful cabinets that fit well in a room designed for children to play in. These tables, chairs and cabinets can come in blue, red, yellow and white. You also have the option of buying unfinished wood furniture and painting it the colors you would like to use.
The style of rug used for children should be created from soft comfortable fiber. This is because children spend a lot of time playing various games on the floor. It could also be helpful if the fibers were longer as in the case of a shag rug. In addition to the solid colored rug styles you may find some that use colorful patterns, designs and even character images. A rug which is lime in color might be created in the image of a frog. This would certainly add a touch of whimsy to the playroom. A child’s area for play should reflect the fun and enthusiastic spirit of the child.
