Most people thinking about buying repossessed motorhomes for sale are looking to find a deal. They want to pay less money than market price or retail value on a newer motorhome. As with any used RV, you do not have to worry so much about depreciation because it will have already gone through the steepest, quickest losses of value. However, even though the price may be right, it is not a good deal if the motorhome is not a good match for your situation and how you plan to use it. If you find several good options, it can be tricky to choose between them since they do not compare the same way new ones do. Focus on these major things to help you choose the right repossessed motorhome to buy.

• Family or group size. If you plan on traveling on your own or with just one or two other people most of the time, a smaller motorhome will probably make the most sense and cost you less. On the other hand, if you typically will have a large group, a small one could be too cramped and it may be tricky to accommodate everyone. An RV that is designed to handle more people would be a better choice, even if it is a little older or doesn’t have the same features.
• Age and Mileage. Generally, the lower the miles the better, but if the lower miles come on a much older RV, it might be better to go with the newer one instead. It will probably have more of what you want and will be easier to upgrade. However, be wary of really high miles on a fairly new motorhome because that could indicate it is has been lived in extensively which can lead to more problems sooner than normal.
• Features and Upgrades. If it is only missing one thing you want and it is easy to add it, then you don’t need to worry. But if there are several features you need that the RV doesn’t have, look for something else. The time, expense and hassle of adding so much (if you even can) isn’t worth it. Wait for something better to come along instead.
