If you’re like many others, then you really enjoy collecting Lego Star Wars figures and a collection is not complete without the figure C3PO. C3PO and his trusty sidekick R2-D2 were probably the most well known and popular droids in the movies. Anakin was responsible for a big part of C3PO’s programming and background. C3PO seemed to always be heading for the trash but he was always rescued. He was made to originally help and serve Anakin’s mom Shmi.

This Lego Star Wars figure has an incredible head piece and it’s regarded as the best conversions within the Star Wars building sets. There are 3 stenciled layers on his torso and it was the head piece that made collectors really want this piece when it first came out. The head piece is sculpted and molded and is ultimately unique to this figure. The rectangular mouth and sunken eyes look amazing along with the gold color. If you want the LEGO C3PO figure you can find him in a few sets but be sure you’re receiving the entire set. It is important to count your bricks to make sure you are receiving a complete set. This procedure can be very tedious, but even just one missing brick can make a gigantic difference.

The figure that comes in set 10188 is all black and many don’t feel like it’s a true C3PO. This one is really a Protocol Droid and C3PO is just that so it can go either way. There are different variations of this figure so be sure and research each set to see just what the figure looks like in each one. You are probably better off buying the sets then the figures on their own because I have seen these Lego Star Wars figures get quite expensive and you can get the sets a bit more reasonable.
