Whether you have twin babies or just two children close together in age, you know how difficult it can be to go anywhere.  Two to buckle in and keep calm on the car ride, and if one starts crying…well then the other one almost always follows, and that is not even considering what you have to pack for even just a few hours out of the house. But if you stay in all day, both you and your children will get a little stir crazy.  One way to make your life a little easier is with a double buggy. That way you are not trying to carry one and hold the other one’s hand or trying to carry both. It can really be a hassle.  A double buggy will reduce your stress and make it easier, and safer to get out of the house.

There are several different styles, and it really depends on your preference and the age of your children.  A side by side buggy is best if you have two toddler age children. In this style, the kids sit side by side facing away from the parent pushing the stroller.  A tandem buggy is better for different age children, usually a toddler and an infant, but they adjust.  One child sits in the back, and one in the front.  Usually the front seat is able to hold a car seat, making it even more convenient. In many models the back seat will lay down so you could lay a sleeping infant covered with a cotton baby blanket, while the older or awake child sits up front.  Double buggies are also safer, because it can be difficult to keep up with two toddlers if you go out by yourself.  Strollers with a platform for an older child to stand on and hold on to the handles just aren’t as safe.
