There are probably many reasons why TV pillows are so popular these days. Your basic backrest pillow has been around for several decades, but the newer versions of these pillows are very popular at the moment. Part of the reason is probably that many families turn to TV for their nightly entertainment, now more that ever before. With many households owning 3 or more TVS that are receiving anywhere from 60 to over 200 channels, there are not many people who can say there is nothing to watch.

Of course, there will always be some people who don’t watch much TV, but many of these folks are using some sort of “TV” pillow to relax while reading their favorite book! Other reasons why TV pillows have become so popular is that that they come with many extra features these days and are more comfortable than ever before. Just like with bed pillows, you can purchase TV pillows filled with down or man-made materials such as memory foam.

Some of the newer features include headrests and arms that can be adjusted to the users personal preferences. Some pillows also come with multiple pockets to store items such as eyeglasses, books or a remote control. You can buy TV pillows with covers that can be removed for washing. All of the features have made these pillows more desirable for people who like to relax in bed or on the couch. The pillows replace the practice of trying to position several pillows to be able to sit up comfortably in bed. In addition to the backrest pillow that resembles an armchair, you can also find wedge shaped pillows and over-sized or double bed pillows that also help you get comfortable while sitting up in bed.

The only problem with all of these pillows is that you may be so content and comfortable that you fall asleep before you can watch the end of your favorite show!
